Specialty Court Recovery House

TASC has played an integral role in the Berks County Treatment Court programs since their inception in 2025. At present, TASC provides substance abuse evaluations, urinalysis testing, and progress/compliance monitoring for participants of the DUI, Drug, Mental Health, and Veterans Treatment Court programs. As a member of each Treatment Court Team, TASC provides assistance to the Court in recognizing and following evidence-based treatment and supervision alternatives toward creating lasting lifestyle changes for each participant, while alleviating the burden to the criminal justice system.

In May 2024, TASC launched the Specialty Court Recovery House program after responding to a Request For Proposal issued by the Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA). Located at the downtown branch of the YMCA, the Specialty Court Recovery House is a DDAP licensed Recovery House providing 24/7 intensive case management and recovery support services to 16 men and 6 women involved in Berks County Treatment Court programs.
